Mary Steven’s Hospice provides a valuable and cherished service to the local community, so when foothealthcare.com were approached to support them in their fundraising efforts, foothealthcare.com was more than happy to oblige such a worthwhile charity. Foothealthcare.com’s ethos lies in its’ efforts to improve the health and happiness of the community in the particular niche area of foot health. Mary Steven’s Hospice however devotes itself entirely to improve the quality of life for patients with progressive illnesses and their families and friends, and is seen as a cherished and valued part of the local community. Foothealthcare.com are sponsoring Mary Stevens Hospice and The Friends of Mary Stevens Park for a 5km fundraising walk, in order to raise money to continue the fantastic work of the hospice and to refurbish the grounds of Mary Stevens Park. The evening will involve a 5km festive fun walk by torchlight that includes a candle lit vigil for remembrance, which ends with a community carol service around the bandstand. All walkers will receive a goodie bag at the end of the walk as a ‘Thank You’ for their hard work and dedication. The goodie bag will include treats from the Walk’s Sponsors, including foothealthcare.com who have donated some free cushioning PORON insoles, which can be used in next fundraising walk. Walkers can dress in festive costumes for the event, so Santas, Elves, Fairies, Reindeers and Christmas Puddings will all be very welcome. The walk will be taking place in Stourbridge on Saturday 17th December 2005 at 5pm where everyone is welcome.
