First of all, let us define
the word “Dancing”. It is the inflected form from the
word “Dance” which means “To engage in or perform
a dance”, “To move up or down or about in a quick and
lively manner. It generally refers to human movement either used
as a form of expression or presented in a social, spiritual or performance
setting. People who dance are called “dancers” and the
act of dance is known as “dancing”. An event where dancing
takes place may be called “a dance”. Choreography is
the art of making dances, and the person who does this is called
a choreographer.
Historically speaking, dancing has certainly been
a part of the human culture whereas it is always accompanied with
music. Certain dance forms were called “tango, waltz, jive,
foxtrot, ballet, jazz and even hip hop” just to name a few.

Let me raise the question and reason on why dancing
is good for you. It is actually a good form of exercise. It not
only involves your whole body to move but it also definitely improves
your health. It is indeed a form of cardiovascular exercise. Dancing
has become a part of my life since I was at a very young age. It
actually became my job since I was very fond of the art. I can still
remember how awkward I felt during my first day taking up ballet
and jazz basics and believe me, I was only one of the few in my
country who were males learning such the said art. At first I felt
really embarrassed but if you think and look deeply it was really
an advantage for me. Soon enough as I was learning more I had the
chance and opportunity to teach modern jazz, ballroom dancing, hip
hop and even breakdancing.
I became a dance choreographer. Imagine
learning ballet, jazz and all that eventually led me to a very successful
career in the field of dancing. It has also helped me in a lot ways
healthwise. I not only was enjoying it, it also has helped improve
my health.
With the pressures of job and social obligations
tugging us every which way, it's more and more difficult to find
time for exercise. Maybe that's why people are struggling with their
weight and health more than ever. It's no secret that moderate exercise
and sensible eating habits are the keys to remain trim and fit.
However, the thought of spending thirty minutes on a treadmill,
or jogging around the block five times is out of the question for
many of us.
Dancing works like a stress and tension reducer. For
people on a hectic schedule it can become a passion that helps you
improve your attitude and increase your confidence in both social
and business situations. That's what makes dance the ideal exercise!
After all, dancing is a mild aerobic workout, minus the boring part!
When you take dance lessons, you make exercise a fun and enjoyable
social event, every night of the week. Your dance "work out"
takes place with pleasant music and everyone's in a good mood. It's
fun.

you to be as energetic as you like. Some estimate social levels
of dancing to burn 100-400 calories/hr, while competitive dancers
