Problems & Conditions
Dry cracking heels is mainly
a cosmetic problem but can become more serious. Dry cracked heels
can sometimes result in heel fissures where the skin cracks and
bleeds which can be very painful.
If the problem persists or if the
skin bleeds it is advised that professional medical advice is sought
to prevent the onset of more serious conditions. This is especially
important for people with diabetes or vascular problems as the wound
could become infected and lead to further complications.
