More shock absorption in the insole means less shock to feet and joints. Poron insoles are proven to achieve this. In side-by-side drop weight tests, Poron materials outperformed vinyl sponge, neoprene sponge, sponge rubber, latex foam and solid viscoelastic.
This is why Poron materials offer one of the most 'cost-effective' solutions to foot impact protection. Very popular with dancers and other people who have minimal room in their shoes for insoles, but require cushioning to provide comfort and prevent injury.
The Poron material is a microporous polyurethane foam which is able to cushion effectively the 'stepshock' of walking and running. Its open cell stucture gives the material the ability to absorb a measure of the moisture vapour generated by the active foot. Poron Insoles are supplied in one size which can be cut to fit with a pair of scissors.
